Hello everyone! I have quite a bit of news to share regarding the upcoming collection as well as some general updates, and information on future restocks. I wanted to go ahead and put this out there now as I have been getting a lot of questions on what is coming next, and we are more than a month out from my initial release.
The release date for the Pleiades collection will be October 10 at 12 PM ET. Keep an eye out for PR at the beginning of October! This is a 7 polish, all magnetic collection. The prices of each polish range from $14.00 - $14.50.
I am gearing up to make some changes and there are some exciting new developments coming before the end of the year, I will be announcing that news late next month, but because of those things and the work I am doing behind the scenes, there will not be a pre-order option for this next collection during release. This will be a small (medium?) batch initial release. This definitely will not change, and the reasons as to why will become apparent with future announcements, but there will also be a restock before the end of the year at least for the best sellers of this collection, if not the full collection depending on how the initial release goes.
I will be doing a discounted bundle option for the collection that is priced at $96.00. Because this is just under the threshold for free shipping, I have made the bundle eligible for free shipping, no code needed. I have changed the way I add bundles to the store so that it pulls from available inventory, so there will be no set amount of stock for bundles - the limit is restricted to how much total stock there is of each item itself. The total available inventory of each polish will be 80 for this collection, this may increase a little, so keep an eye on announcements as we approach the release date. Customers are limited to one discounted bundle per person.
I am also doing a limited restock of Solipsism and Dream World alongside the Pleiades release. Solipsism inventory will be 40, Dream World will be 25. I was initially planning to only restock one polish from the first release but I have received a lot of requests for both polishes.
I will have a small amount of stock held back for the other sold out polishes from the first collection, they are available in VERY limited quantities - 2-6 bottles each, of Logos, Sorites Paradox, Bonfire, Swamp Water, and Pathos. I will be adding those to the site as well when the Pleiades collection launches. I will post exact numbers to my stories on IG and save it to one of my highlights closer to launch. I am also going to be limiting these limited restock items to one purchase of each per person.
(Note: If the rules I've set up for limit to 1 per customer items don't work as intended/if I see multiples of the items with this limit going to the same address, anything that goes over the limit will be refunded.)
Releasing alongside this collection are two new cuticle oils. Self-Love Potion No. 1 is a strawberry mochi scent, and Self-Love Potion No. 3 is an orange mulled cider scent. Cuticle oils are priced at $10.50 for 15 ml - I have lowered the price (previously $12) due to a change in suppliers that cut production costs.
The plan right now is to get to a point where most offerings are in stock more consistently in early 2027, or at least more consistent restocks based on demand/what people ask for on the restock form (this form is available via a clickable button on the home page on this site, and via the link tree on my socials). I am also working on a restock schedule and doing some prep work for that behind the scenes. There will be a restock for the first and second collections before the end of the year after this collection releases - numbers for restocks will vary based on demand. I expect the pacing for collection releases to steadily increase, I did hit some snags as I prepped for the first collection and a few after it released, and I can be a bit of a perfectionist with what I do release, but I am figuring more out as I go and have a lot planned out more solidly now. Growing pains of being a new small business owner and all that!
I have updated the rewards points program on the website to award points for reviews. I am working on having increased rewards for different tiers, however this feature specifically is a little buggy at the moment. The developers are aware and working on that for me. But, anyone who does review will still get rewards for the base tier - 25 points per review. (Also as far as I am aware, I do think everyone who is enrolled currently is still at this base tier, so my hope is this is resolved before it becomes a problem.) Rewards will only be awarded on verified purchase reviews, and you can do 2 per day in exchange for rewards, no repeats. There is one caveat to this - anyone who purchased the bundle for the first collection will not be awarded points on individual product reviews, as they will not be verified as a purchased item. This should not be an issue moving forward for bundle purchases as I have updated the way I list bundles. If you purchased a bundle and write a review on an individual polish, and want your rewards points, please email me so that I can verify the review and purchase on my end, then I can manually update your points.
I also know that Black Friday is coming up. I do want to offer something for that, but I am new and I don't want to over-do it while I grow my brand, so I will announce more on that in November.
Some other news, I welcomed Adam Murray (also on my swatching team, @playfulpolishpal on IG) to the Polished Praxis team to assist me with running my socials! He is the main person running the TikTok account, and I am the main person running the IG account right now, but we are both present in both accounts. I am still the only person running the Facebook page for the time being.
I am also planning to release my version of an acetone additive soon, and I am looking for 1-2 people to test that for me, and possibly take comparison photos of using the product. If anyone is interested in doing that, please let me know! I will also send a complimentary cuticle oil to whoever I select.
