Hello! Kate here. I am Polished Praxis' brand owner. I live and operate out of rural Pennsylvania.

First things first, what is Polished Praxis? Praxis is the process by which a theory or skill is enacted, embodied, realized, applied, or put into practice. To be polished, it means for it to be perfected and practiced with care, made to be the best version of itself.

I love nail polish, the release it brings me, the color it adds to my life, the small but significant joy it adds to my days. I love the community I have found when I first entered the hobby, the connection within it and the kindness, creativity, and thoughtfulness of people I have met never ceases to amaze me. The indie nail polish community is one of the most amazing hobby communities I've ever interacted with. I also love the escape and outlet the hobby has provided me. The opportunity to not only participate in, but to contribute to that community is one I am so grateful for.

In making a brand I wanted to share the joy that nail polish has brought me with others, and I wanted to do it in a way that shows how much work and thought has gone into every creation on my part. I think the name I choose ought to represent all of this, and I enjoy the fun play on words that is embodied with this name.

Having a nail polish brand is my dream. I hope that you all will join me on my journey to add more color and joy to the world!

I am a one-woman team working to bring my creations to fruition from the ideas in my head to the canvas that is your nails. I am probably going to be making a little bit of everything, but my main focus will be shimmers and magnetic polishes.

All of my polishes are vegan, cruelty free, and handmade with love.
