Returns, Refunds, Replacements, and Exchanges:
All of my products are sold in new condition. Due to the nature of nail polish and related items, returns, exchanges, and refunds will not be offered if nothing is wrong with your order. All sales are final. In some cases I may issue a refund or replacement if it is warranted (e.g. if something arrives damaged or defective, if something is missing from your order, or if you are sent an incorrect item).
If there are any problems with your order, please contact me immediately (via email at info@polishedpraxis.com) with pictures (when applicable) and clearly state any issues that may arise, please include your order number as well. If you had an item broken in transit, please include pictures of the packaging as well as the item, so that I may submit a claim to USPS.
All issues should be addressed immediately upon discovery and are limited to 30 days from when you received your purchase. After 30 days any action is at my full discretion.
(Please keep communications about customer service issues to email/the contact form, do not message me on social media with order issues, social media can be glitchy/unreliable, and it can be difficult to sort through all the messages there in a timely manner. Please be sure to keep an eye on your promotions/spam folder for replies.)
If you wish to cancel an order, please email me at info@polishedpraxis.com. If an order already has a shipping label I will not be able to cancel it.
Shipping and TAT (turnaround time):
I currently only offer shipping within the US. I plan to expand shipping locations eventually and will post updates to socials and this site once I am ready to expand.
Orders that are $100 or more will ship free, no code needed.
My estimated TAT for in-stock items will be 7-30 days from the time an order is placed to when you receive it (barring any unforeseen delays on the shipping servicer's end). I have padded this a bit just to account for possible delays, especially when order volumes are larger around collection launch windows. I expect most in-stock orders will not take more than 14-18 days to reach customers.
For pre-order items, orders will ship after 4-6 weeks, total TAT of 5-8 weeks. If your order has a combination of pre-order and in-stock items, it will not ship until the pre-order items are ready.
I offer shipping via USPS only at this time. I may expand to other carriers if I receive requests for other options. I live rurally and it is not easy for me to get to UPS/FedEx locations, it would delay my shipping timeframe and add more costs to shipping as these services tend to be almost twice as expensive every time I have checked.
I am not combining orders at this time. If you would like to add to an order, please email me. I can either cancel your order so that you can place it again, or I can add items to your order and send you an invoice for the new items/updated shipping cost when applicable. Please note I can only do this if I have not generated a shipping label for your order yet.
What to do if you believe your package is lost:
Please contact me with your order information via email at info@polishedpraxis.com. I will file a Missing Mail Search Request form on your behalf (it takes about 24 hours to show this status update in your tracking). It can take 1-4 weeks for these situations to fully resolve. If there is still no movement, I will offer a refund or replacement. These situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis in terms of timeline and whether a refund or replacement is offered.
What to do if your package says it's delivered but you haven't received it:
My official obligation ends when a package is marked delivered, but there are some steps you can take if this happens. Resolutions will be handled on a case-by-case basis. I make no guarantees that I can offer any refunds, etc. in this case. I will offer a replacement for your order if this is not a consistent issue, and if you can work with me on completing the steps outlined in this section. Please read the entirety of the section carefully before reaching out to see how I can assist you.
USPS occasionally mis-scans or delays package deliveries, things mistakenly get left in the delivery truck, misdelivered, etc. The first step to take is to contact your local USPS location directly, provide the tracking number for your package (you will have received this in your shipping confirmation email) and see if they can find it in their backroom/the back of a delivery truck, and then ask if they can give you detailed GPS location data for when the item was delivered.
I can then file a claim for the package depending on whatever information USPS provides, please take the steps outlined above and then follow up with me with a detailed report of the information your post office gave you. If there are any relevant email correspondences with USPS regarding the package, please forward them to me. Please also confirm your delivery address when emailing me, along with your order number.
If you would like for your order to require a signature to be delivered, please contact me immediately after placing your order by responding to the order confirmation email, or add it to your order notes. Please note, this will add a $9.70 fee to your order, which I will send you an invoice for before your order is completed (this is the fee USPS charges for this service). You will need to pay this invoice in order for me to complete your order.

All of Polished Praxis' offerings are hand-mixed and batches may have some slight variances to them. Small specks of pigment may occasionally be present in hand-mixed polishes as well. Please be aware that some pigments may fade over time, and I can only guarantee no fading of polishes within the first 6 months of their life. I recommend storing polishes in a dark, temperature controlled space (60-70 degrees Fahrenheit) for best longevity.
All of my polishes are hand-made, vegan, cruelty-free, and 10-free. 10-free means my polishes are free of common harmful ingredients found in some nail polish manufacturing (toluene, DBP (dibutyl phthalate), formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, phthalates, parabens and fragrances).
I create and sell regular nail polish/lacquer, none of my products require a UV lamp to cure.
Magnetic polishes will require use of magnets to get the desired effects from them. Magnets are sold separately.

I also have a Facebook information page (I update this less frequently):
https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61580714367571

These are my only social media pages at this time. I run these pages with assistance from Adam Murray.
How can I contact you?
Please reach out for any customer service inquiries, questions, concerns, or feedback by emailing me at info@polishedpraxis.com or by navigating to the contact page on this site and filling out the form - please read the information on the contact form before reaching out to me either by email or via the form. You can also reach me by DMing my Instagram account if you have general questions or feedback. For any concerns related to orders, please keep communications to email.
Are your offerings limited edition?
My polishes and cuticle oils are not limited edition, however I do make them in small batches and I will periodically restock them. I expect that stock will be limited for the first few releases and restocks while I gradually build my brand. Cuticle oils may stick around for shorter periods of time than polishes.
So long as pigments and any other ingredients remain available for my products, I will continue to produce my polishes if there is sufficient demand for them. I may periodically cull items from my catalog based on demand, or to make room for new offerings. I will do my best to communicate before any polishes are removed permanently from my catalog.
Are your offerings pre-order?
I may offer pre-order in addition to having in-stock products for sale during new collections launches. This may vary from collection to collection. I was not planning to do this originally, but it was a popular request. I will make sure the pre-order purchases are clearly marked when making them.
Do you use generative AI in any aspect of your business - ads, descriptions, product photos, etc?
No, I will never use generative AI to produce any imagery or descriptions for anything in my business in any capacity. I believe that art should be made by artists in all aspects, not by machines who steal art from people.
