Store Policies and FAQs

Returns and Refunds:

All of my products are sold in new condition. Due to the nature of nail polish and related items, returns, exchanges, and refunds will not be offered. All sales are final. In some cases I may issue a refund or replacement if it is warranted (e.g. if something arrives damaged or defective, or if you are sent an incorrect item).

If there are any problems with your order, please contact me immediately with pictures and clearly state any issues that may arise, please include your order number as well. All issues should be addressed immediately upon discovery and are limited to 30 days from purchase. After 30 days any action is at my full discretion.

I cannot offer exchanges or refunds for polishes bought second-hand.

If you wish to cancel an order, please email me at info@polishedpraxis.com. If an order has already shipped I will not be able to cancel it.

Shipping and TAT (turnaround time):

I currently only offer shipping withing the US. I plan to expand shipping locations eventually and will post updates to socials and this site once I am ready to expand.

All orders that exceed $100 are eligible for free shipping.

My turnaround time will be 7-21 days from the time an order is placed to when you receive it.

I offer shipping via USPS only at this time.

I am not combining orders at this time. I do plan to offer this in the future as well. I will update this page, the blog, and socials when that happens.

I do not plan to operate on a pre-order model at this time so that I can keep the window from order to shipment short. While there are aspects of the pre-order model that may be appealing, I prefer to have everything made and ready to go at launch. While this may limit my stock at times, I will always plan to restock items as quickly as I can. I expect that my first few collections will have limited stock.  If this ever changes, I will update people via my socials and by updating this page.

What to do if you believe your package is lost:
Please contact me with your order information via email at info@polishedpraxis.com. I will file a Missing Mail Search Request form on your behalf (it takes about 24 hours to show this status update in your tracking). It can take 1-3 weeks for these situations to fully resolve. If there is still no movement, I will offer a refund or replacement (when available).

What to do if your package says it's delivered but you haven't received it:
USPS occasionally mis-scans or delays package deliveries. The first step to take is to contact your local USPS location directly, provide the tracking number for your package (you will have received this in your shipping confirmation email) and see if they can find it in their warehouse or give you detailed GPS location data for when the item was delivered. My official obligation ends when a package is marked delivered, but I will do my best to help you if you contact me. I make no guarantees that I can offer any refunds, etc. in this case.

All of Polished Praxis' offerings are hand-mixed and batches may have some slight variances to them. Small specks of pigment may occasionally be present in hand-mixed polishes as well. Please be aware that some pigments may fade over time, and I can only guarantee no fading of polishes within the 6 months of their life. I recommend storing polishes in a dark, temperature controlled space for best longevity.

My polishes are all vegan and cruelty-free. All of my polishes are 10-free of common harmful ingredients found in some nail polish manufacturing (toluene, DBP (dibutyl phthalate), formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, phthalates, parabens and fragrances).

I create and sell regular nail polish/lacquer, none of my products require a UV lamp to cure.

Magnetic polishes will require use of magnets to get the desired effects from them. Magnets are sold separately.

How can I contact you?
Please reach out for any customer service inquiries, questions, concerns, or feedback by emailing me at info@polishedpraxis.com or via the contact form on the contact page on this website

Are your offerings limited edition?
My polishes and cuticle oils are not limited edition, however I do make them in small batches and periodically restock them. I expect that stock will be limited for the first few releases and restocks while I gradually build my brand.
So long as pigments and any other ingredients remain available for my products, I will continue to produce them if there is sufficient demand for them. I may periodically cull items from my catalog based on demand, or to make room for new offerings. I will do my best to communicate before any polishes are removed permanently from my catalog.

Do you use AI in any aspect of your business - ads, descriptions, product photos, etc?
No, I will never use AI to produce any imagery or descriptions for anything in my business. I believe that art should be made by artists in all aspects, not by machines who steal art from people.
